Sometimes it is a marina, sometimes it is a mooring ball, sometimes it is a lock or a haul-out.

Saillogger now supports custom stay types, so you can label stays and moorage in a way that matches how you actually cruise.

Here is what is new:

Create your own stay types
Add labels like Marina, Yacht Club, Guest Dock, Raft-Up, Haulout, or whatever makes sense for your logbook.

Use them when logging stays
Your custom types appear alongside the familiar built-in options when you update a stay or moorage.

Filter and review your logs your way
Custom types make it easier to spot the kinds of places you return to, compare cruising patterns, and keep your logbook feeling like yours.

Defaults still work
Anchor, Mooring Buoy, Dock, and Unknown are still there. This is optional, so there is no need to reorganize anything unless you want to.

Ready to give your logbook a little more personality?

Manage your stay types

We would love to hear what labels you create. Reply here with your favorites, especially if one of them is oddly specific and immediately useful.

Smooth boating and happy Saillogging,
