AIS Fleet is the vessel-tracking service from the team behind Saillogger. Connecting an assistant is part of its Plus and Pro plans, and the connection is read-only.

Here are a few things you can ask.

Your boat and the boats you follow

"Which boats on my Harbour list moved today?"

"Show me the recent track of Wanderer."

"What are the latest entries in Wanderer's journal?"

"Where is my boat, and when was she last heard?" (if you claimed your MMSI)

Cargo ships, ferries and other traffic

"Which ten cargo ships are nearest to Rotterdam, and what destinations are they reporting?"

"Which ferries and other passenger vessels are within 10 nautical miles of Dover?"

"What destination and ETA is the nearest cargo ship to Gibraltar reporting?"

Questions about your own boat work once she is claimed on your AIS Fleet account (Claim your boat). Otherwise, name a boat or a place. Journal questions work for boats that log with Saillogger and share their journal with you.

Connect in three steps

If you are on Basic, you can move to Plus or Pro from Plan in the account menu. Plans and billing compares the plans.

In your assistant, add a connector with this address:
https://aisfleet.com/mcp
. In Claude and ChatGPT this is usually under "Connectors" or "Apps" in the settings.

The assistant opens an AIS Fleet page. Sign in if you are asked to, and accept the current Terms or finish entering your name if AIS Fleet asks.

Read the page: it names the account, where the access goes and whether AIS Fleet could confirm the app's name. Choose Allow access, or Cancel if anything looks wrong.

If the page says AIS Fleet could not confirm which app is asking, nothing has been shared. Start again from your assistant, and if it happens a second time, let us know here.

Read-only by design

An assistant reads only what you already see when you sign in:

your plan and how much of it you are using

your own boat, the boats you follow, your lists and your fleets

public AIS information about other vessels: names, positions, recent tracks and photos

Saillogger logs that boats share with you: the journal and the passage in progress

your notices and your own AIS receivers

It cannot change anything, and it cannot read your messages, your followers or the sign-in details of your receivers. Every position comes with the time AIS Fleet last heard the vessel, and how far back a track goes follows your plan. Your plan's limits and the usual short-term limits apply, the same as when you use AIS Fleet yourself.

You stay in control

Every connected assistant is listed under Account > Connected apps, and Disconnect ends its access at once. Disconnecting does not remove anything the assistant has already read. If your account moves to Basic, the connection stays in place, but the assistant cannot read anything until you are back on Plus or Pro, and there is nothing to reconnect. You can disconnect at any time, on Basic too.
