Thank you for the specific report, it found a real problem. ChatGPT keeps the list of tools from when the Saillogger app was added, and it caps the size of that list; the two new reads pushed ours just over the cap, so ChatGPT kept your old list even after you reconnected. This a ChatGPT specific limitation, other agents don't exhibit that but there were options on our end so that is fixed on our side now. To pick up the new tools, open ChatGPT’s Settings > Apps > Saillogger and press Refresh, then start a new conversation. Reconnecting alone does not update the list. You should then see “Trip readings, fix by fix” (get_trip_samples) and “Sailing readings across trips” (list_sailing_samples). For trips 52048 and 52059, each row carries time, latitude, longitude, SOG, COG, apparent wind speed and angle and whether an engine was running; engine RPM comes along if you ask for it by name.

Mk2 is a good improvement over Mk1, it also has a galvanically isolated CAN port (only can0), which should be preferred to can1.

UPDATE 2: Not sure what happened but now I am seeing all of the Electrical Switch/Battery fields which were previously not present.

Hi @upstart yes, just copy your collector ID and it should be enough. Please make sure you stop the old Signal K process or Saillogger plugin on it first, to avoid both of them sending duplicate data.

I actually updated the module better-sqlite3 in the .signalk folder and that did the trick. Working again!

Thank you, that's brilliant. i noticed it did record correctly engine hours but I wasn't seeing this reflected when playing back the trip. have now added a monitoring section to include RPM so hopefully this will show up. so much great information, its brilliant.
