visible track in realtime monitoring

Would it be possible to display the track in realtime monitoring? Maybe the previous hour, or ideally the position back to midnight or whenever the boat started moving for the day.

Hi there, thank you for the question. That feature is already available! We announced it back in December.
Not only that but you can also add comments while underway which show up in the log afterwards and for your followers realtime if you enable your public profile. More information is available here.
It looks like this:

Are you able to display previous completed tracks on your "home" or "real time" monitoring page? We have completed some "logs" or passages and have added comments on them throughout the passage. We now have others asking/wanting to see those comments or the track that we took through a particular area. It would be ideal for us to "toggle" on some of the previous tracks that we care to share that would be public. Would this be possible? (basically make it similar to the PredictWind tracking page which shows previous or cumulative tracks)

Hi @SV_Atlas, you can share your logs (i.e., completed tracks) by updating your settings. Go to your settings page, and under Public Profile, toggle on
Log List
andLog Details
.Once enabled, your logs and log details, including any comments on the tracks, will be publicly available!

Thank you. However, this requires the person, who may not be familiar with Saillogger, to navigate to a new page and then select the log they're looking for.
The main issue I see with that is the logs are not titled in recognizable locations. For example, we just sailed from Enggano, Sumatra, Indonesia to Cocos Keeling Islands. This is a well-known run but in the logs, it's titled "Barhau to Bantam." Is there a way to edit this?
Is there a way to leave up tracks on the main page, similar to how PredictWind does it?
Finally, and additionally, I noticed (sadly) that many of the "notes" that I created during the passage haven't been saved. They were there when we arrived, but now that it's been archived to the logs page all but one has disappeared. Is there a way to bring those back? (strangely they play in the Timelapse feature but don't exist, except for one, in the log track)
Thanks in advance.

You can edit the title in the log details page. Go to log details and using the input text box, just change the text to whatever you wish it to be.

This was due to sampling of tracepoints due to a long passage. We deployed a quick fix to address it, it should be good now and all notes should show up on the track.
For showing a longer track in the monitoring page, it is certainly possible but needs some thorough thinking (for example, some of our users have hundreds of logs spread over multiple years, showing all of them will be beyond cluttering, so this needs to be configurable without becoming too confusing). We will add it to the feature list.

@SV_Atlas, this got stuck in our minds, so here you go. There is now a setting that allows you to set the tracking starting point on the real-time tracker/monitoring page. Follow these steps to enable it:
- Go to your Settings page.
- There is now a new option called
Tracking Page Start
. - Choose the log that will act as the starting point for the track that will show up on your monitoring/tracking page.
- If you wish to capture your entire track, choose the very first log you have (the one at the very bottom of the list).
- Go to your monitoring page, which will show you the entire track starting from the log you chose in step 4.
- The initial zoom factor will change based on whether you are underway or not.
