Your AI assistant can now answer questions about your boat, your passages and your whole season, in plain language, straight from your own Saillogger data and notes!

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or another assistant that can add a connector: it works with every Saillogger account, and it's read-only.

Ask in your own words. A few to get you started:

    • Your boat, from aboard or ashore: "What are the batteries reading?" "Is the anchor watch on, and how far is she from the anchor?" If your boat reports it, from tanks and engines to wind and depth, you can ask about it.
    • Your passages: "How far did we go last weekend, and how long was the engine on?"
    • Your season: "How many nights did we spend at anchor this year, and how many countries did we visit?" "Which anchorage did we return to most often, and what did I note there?"
    • Maintenance records: "When did we last change the impeller?"
    • Friends and fleets: "Which of the boats we follow is closest, and where is she heading?" "Where are the other boats in our fleet?"
    • Around you: "Which boats are near us, and how big are they?" This one uses the AIS receiver on your own boat, if she has one. You can also look up other vessels and their recent tracks.

One question can draw on your trips, your stops and the notes you wrote along the way. Ask your assistant to look over your boat's readings, too: it may spot one that looks odd, or two that look swapped.

    Connect in three steps

    1. In your assistant, add a connector with this address: https://saillogger.com/mcp. Claude calls this a custom connector; other assistants use other names, and their help pages show where to add one.
    2. The assistant opens a Saillogger page. Sign in if you're asked to.
    3. Check the account you're signed in as, the name of the app and where access goes, then press Allow access. If anything isn't what you expect, press Cancel instead.

    Then ask your first question.

    Read-only, and in your hands

    • Can read, can't change: A connected assistant cannot change anything in Saillogger, and it cannot read your messages, photos or payment details.
    • Only while connected: Saillogger sends nothing to an assistant on its own. The assistant reads what it needs to answer you, while it's connected. Whether it keeps your conversations, or uses them to improve its service, depends on its own settings and privacy policy.
    • Disconnect at any time: Every connected assistant is listed under Settings > Account > Connected apps, and Disconnect ends its access at once.
    • Seasonal pause: While your subscription is on a seasonal pause, a connected assistant cannot read your data. Your data is kept in full, and the assistant can read it again once you resume.

Try it: Use Saillogger with an AI assistant

    Smooth boating and happy Saillogging,
    The Saillogger Team
