    Hello!

I see that you can add your PredictWind track. If I add our PredictWind tracking link, will it populate our previous tracks automatically or do I need to download our GPX files from PredictWind and then upload it, somehow, to Saillogger?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

You can use PredictWind or a Victron device (also a Raspberry Pi) for monitoring. Previously captured PredictWind tracks can also be imported. However, only one monitoring source should be used at the same time otherwise there will potentially be duplicate entries.

If you share your PredictWind tracker link with us, and are ok to clean up some duplicate entries (the ones that you have been created after you started using Saillogger that PredictWind also captured will potentially be captured twice), we can do the import for you!

    @admin, Thank you!

We are updating SailLogger via our NMEA network Cerbo.

Here is our PW tracker (with zero overlap as we haven't had it active in about 6 months): https://forecast.predictwind.com/tracking/display/SV_Atlas/

Finally, is there a way to enter Logs manually, but not using .GPX files (prior to discovering SailLogger and when our PW tracker wasn't active)?

Ok, your logs should be imported now. Your latest position might be off due to this import. If you bring up your Cerbo and wait for 10 minutes or so, this should all sort itself out. If not, try restarting Signal K.

    Newbie question:
How does SailLogger work with PredictWind's DataHub tracking system?
Is SailLogger a complete replacement, with better features?
Or are they compatible and synergistic somehow?
Please point me in the right direction to understand which is what.
    Thanks.

Hi @WJGreene2025, Saillogger is a feature-rich tracking and advanced monitoring system designed to go beyond basic location tracking. It offers comprehensive features such as:

Detailed trip logs: Automatically segmented into individual trips, including specific location names where you anchor, dock, or moor.

Micro-blogging: Easily document and share your journeys.

Detailed statistics: Gain insights into time spent at anchor, dock, mooring buoys, or home/foreign ports, and track visits to different countries or regions.

Advanced NMEA2000 monitoring: Ability to associate any custom NMEA2000 data with trip logs for future reference or diagnosis.

Saillogger is compatible with multiple data sources, including PredictWind's DataHub and Victron GX devices. Some features, such as NMEA2000 monitoring, depend on the underlying platform.

You can continue using DataHub as a data source while benefiting from Saillogger advanced tracking and analytics capabilities.

If you decide to transition from DataHub to a Victron-based solution, Saillogger can also support importing your historical tracks from PredictWind.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or need further clarification.
