Thanks for the new monitoring page, it looks great - a big improvement and hopefully it will continue to develop.
I don't use "Inside Temperature" or "Inside Humidity" and found when I left them blank they didn't appear on the monitoring page. Some time later the tabs were back. In SignalK I deleted the path but as soon as I hit submit it filled in again. I can't leave it blank now.
Is there some way of keeping the unused elements off the monitoring page?

Hi, thank you for the message. Yes, there are more plans to improve the monitoring page!

Right now, whether to display monitoring data is decided at a "block" level, meaning, if no inside, outside or water temperature is available, temperature block is not displayed. Similarly, if no inside or outside humidity readings exist, that block is not displayed. If any of these readings are available, the entire block is displayed.

Agree that this should be decided in a sub-bock level and only the available values should be displayed. We will put this in the list of things to be improved on the monitoring page, thank you for the recommendation.

Thanks for the quick response! I don't have inside temperature or humidity, no "inside" paths at all in data browser. In the plug in when I delete the two inside values they immediately pop back in place when I hit submit or leave the plug page.
Not sure if that is what you mean by block level or if something else is going on.

Yes, your confusion makes sense. The current logic works as follows:

          • If any temperature reading is available (any of outside, inside or water) then display all three temperature readings (which constitutes a block)
          • Similarly, if any humidity reading is available (any of inside or outside) then display both humidity readings (which constitutes another block)

Your ask is to only display the values if they are available, meaning ignore inside humidity and temperature in your case. This makes sense but it is not the current logic. There is some technical reason why it is not but it really doesn't matter, we agree it is a suboptimal user-experience and should change.

This also doesn't have to do anything with the plugin or Signal K configuration, so you should need to make any changes there.

Let us prioritize this change, give us a week or two.

Actually, never mind. This would make me lose sleep so I just deployed a change to take care of it. Please test it out and let us know if you see any issues!

Wow - that is dedication! Thanks, the inside information that was blank is no longer displayed
