The log from today's boating looks much better. Thanks !

  • No longer receiving notifications
    T TargaDriver

    Hi,

I'm no longer receiving notifications of events from SailLogger. I have notifications turned on for email and phone.

Also I don't see where to update email and phone number for notifications. Where are those settings?

    Thank you!
    John

  • Granularity of trip log entries
    T TargaDriver

I noticed that starting with a trip last October, and again yesterday, that the granularity of position entries in a trip log are less dense and spread out than in the past. Time stamps look to be every 5 or so minutes.

My boat is a MV and I am tending to be cruising at 25+ MPH the majority of the time.

Is there a way to change the frequency and granularity of log entries? Or is this the result of something else?

    Thank you
    John

  • User defined granularity of log points
    T TargaDriver

Hi - Yes, we did - but I may have not understood that you had implemented a speed-sensitive granularity change versus just increasing the granularity one time. Also, I admit that I am being picky when i see parts of my track going across land or outside of channels. My last track of 7/8/25 shows me returning to Eagle Harbor, Bainbridge. I was at 10 kts approaching the channel (ferry wake and wind) and accelerated to 24 knots to the inside buoy. There is about 2.5 minutes between log points so it looks like i cut-the-corner, etc. That made me wonder if there was a way to adjust the granularity on a per-user basis. I know I am being picky. 🙂
