windy integration - direction

I turned on Windy integration and have all sharing options currently on.
Windy shows wind strength + outside temperature but doesn't show direction.

Wind strength and direction are correctly displayed on the vessel dashboard.

It's not permanently on, but if it helps I can switch on.

Hi @upstart , this is most likely related to heading information being available. In order to normalize the wind direction, we need heading. It normally comes form the autopilot.

Could you turn on your instruments (including the auto-pilot), make sure you have heading in Signal K data browser and let us know? We can take a look.

Heading is on as it comes from precision 9 compass and is displayed on the boat dashboard . B&G calculates true wind value.

I have left it all running , I checked and heading, wind speed all displayed on Saillogger dashboard.

Thank you. Looks like there is no navigation.headingTrue coming from the boat. Maybe you have navigation.headingMagnetic?

Regardless, this is an easy fix, you should be able to calculate headingTrue from headingMagnetic using the derived-data plugin. Here is an example:
