This adds a rich layer of history to your adventures, making each journey even more meaningful.

Targeted: To keep your user interface clean and uncluttered, we've limited this feature to a select few attractions only. Each highlighted point of interest is to enhance your boating without overwhelming you or your followers with information.

️ Easy Control: This feature is enabled by default, but you can easily disable it if you prefer a simpler view. Just go to the settings under the "Monitoring & Tracking" tab and toggle the option as needed.

It combines multiple previous functionalities into one and presents you a customized and contextual view when you are underway, at dock or anchor.

We are excited to announce a new feature that enhances your Saillogger experience: the ability to show multiple tracks on the real-time tracking and monitoring page!

This optional feature allows you to display the entirety of a group of trips that can be part of a theme. Imagine showcasing your ambitious "North to Alaska in 2024" journey, or any other thematic adventure, all in one place. It's a fantastic way to keep track of your voyages and share your experiences with others.

Here's how you can configure this new feature:

• Set a Starting Log: In the settings under "Tracking Page Start," select the log where you want your themed tracking to begin. This will be the starting point for the group of trips you want to display.

Once the starting log is set, the tracking page will automatically show all subsequent trips that are part of your selected theme.

This feature is perfect for those who want to keep a comprehensive record of their travels, whether for personal reflection or sharing with friends, family, and fellow boating enthusiasts.

Take advantage of this new capability to create a dynamic and engaging display of your nautical adventures. Whether it's a long-term journey or a series of themed trips, Saillogger makes it easier than ever to capture and share your boating experiences.

Timelapse is one of our users' most favorite features. With our latest update, you can now export your Timelapses with the click of a single button! Go to any Timelapse and click the record button (red circle at the bottom of the screen right next to the play/pause button) to export the Timelapse you are viewing as an .mp4 file.

If you do this on an iOS device using mobile Safari, the downloaded video will go to your Files and not the Photo app. You can open it in Files app and send to the Photo app and then use it in social media applications.

We love this feature and hope you will love it too!

We are committed to keep making Timelapses better! We added a new feature to bring back more of your boating memories.

You can now see the names of moorages overlayed on your Timelapse as you move through them!

This is now the default behavior for all Timelapses but Timelapse customizer has an option to disable it in case you want it.

Combined with video exports, this takes the Timelapse feature to an entirely new level!

We've expanded our vessel categories to include the following:

• Monohull Sailboat
• Sailing Catamaran
• Motorboat with Inboard Engine
• Powerboat with Outboard Engine
• Motoryacht
• Superyacht

If the vessel type is not explicitly specified, Saillogger will default to the configuration on your monitoring device, which uses the AIS ship type.

New Icons:

To make your boating experience even more fun and visually appealing, each vessel type comes with a unique icon. These new icons will appear on your tracking and monitoring pages, adding a touch of color and excitement to your sailing adventures.

How to Access:

To start using the new vessel types, simply update your vessel information on Saillogger. If no type is specified, Saillogger will continue to use the AIS ship type from your monitoring device.

All you need is to click on the pen icon you see on the upper right corner while underway. It will only show up when you are underway.

Geofencing empowers you to establish a digital enclosure around your boat by selecting multiple points on the map (with a minimum of three points). If your boat strays beyond this defined area, you'll receive timely alerts via email or push notifications—keeping you connected, no matter where you may be.

While Geofencing isn't intended to replace traditional anchor alarms, it serves as a backup solution for remote boat monitoring. Here's how it can elevate your boating experience:

Public profiles have been a popular feature and we see they are used and shared broadly. We have made an improvement to make these links more aesthetically appealing, so they now include the boat name. They are also configurable!

You can enable and configure yours through your settings.

Weather reports are important and as boaters, I think we all know how they accurate they are!

It appears that one of the main reasons of this is that there is not enough data and the data is often unreliable (Read more: Why Marine Weather Forecasts Are So Inaccurate - And How To Improve Them).

So as Saillogger, we introduced a new feature to make it super easy for you to share your own data and make your boat a moving Windy.com weather station!

When you go to your settings, you will now see the option to turn your boat into a weather station under public profile.

This feature requires a few things:

• You need to use Saillogger plugin version 2.3.0 or later

• You must configure monitoring data source for wind direction as environment.wind.directionTrue on Saillogger plugin, which is the default starting with 2.3.0. This is necessary because reporting apparent wind directions to Windy will be very confusing for those who are processing it.

• Data for environment.wind.directionTrue will likely be unavailable in your NMEA network, which is expected. You can use the derived-data plugin to easily calculate it.

• You need to have outdoor temperature coming through environment.outside.temperature. This is required as Windy.com doesn't accept observations that don't include temperature readings.

• While not enforced through the user interface, we highly recommend to use environment.wind.speedTrue for wind speed. This won't matter at anchor or a marina but will matter when you are underway.
