Display other N2K data in Sail Logger?@dbrown308 That's one of the upcoming features! You will be able to capture everything in the monitoring page (including custom monitoring elements) as part of your trip logs.

Display other N2K data in Sail Logger?@MacJL Looks like there is no data coming for your Blackwater, which is different than a 0% coming in. We just deployed a change to treat missing/null values as zero, so it should address the UI glitch. However you should ensure you do have readings for your blackwater tank.
On the latter point on ranges, they are set dynamically based on all the values in a given section. It does make it a bit more meaningful when you have multiple readings in a given section. There might be an option to customize it in the future but for now, we will leave it with the default dynamic ranges.

Display other N2K data in Sail Logger? Thanks, that's a great point. There is more work to do in the selection of paths and it will be coming but in the meantime, we just deployed a quick change to sort those alphabetically!

Display other N2K data in Sail Logger?Exciting News for Early Testers!
Hello, everyone! We're thrilled to announce the launch of the initial version of our new capability for custom monitoring to early testers. Given the complexity of this new functionality, we're rolling it out on a smaller scale for now. This means two things: it's not broadly announced yet, and yes, encountering some bugs is part of the adventure!
Here's What's New:
When you navigate to the Monitoring & Tracking Tab in your settings, you'll find a new option at the bottom:
Add Monitoring Section
.What to Expect:
- Custom Monitoring Configurations: Organize your additional monitoring needs into sections. Each section can represent a different unit of measurement (length in feet/meters, temperature Celsius/Fahrenheit, nautical miles, percentages etc.).
- Flexibility: Add multiple data sources to each section. There's no limit to how many sections you can create, offering unparalleled customization. For instance, create a "Tanks" section for monitoring fresh water, fuel, and waste levels, or a section dedicated to battery voltages for house and starter batteries.
This update is designed to provide you with ultimate flexibility in monitoring custom NMEA data from your boat, tailored to your specific needs.
To Get Started:
Ensure your system is equipped with plugin version 3.0.0 or newer to take full advantage of this feature.Visualize the Possibilities:

Feedback Wanted:
Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to refine and enhance this feature. Should you encounter any bugs or have suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out.Thank you for being a part of this journey. Your participation and feedback are crucial to the success of this rollout!
Happy Monitoring!

Log Notes editing? We will definitely consider this, notes editor can use a revamp for sure.

Display other N2K data in Sail Logger?@MacJL Hopefully we will release the initial feature by then so you can use it.
Just to set the right expectations though, this will allow custom data in real-time monitoring and tracking page and monitoring history. In the initial release they won't be attached to logs automatically, meaning you can monitor your tanks, additional batteries etc but they won't be added to your trip logs. That capability will also come but will be a subsequent release, later.

New Boat QuestionsEnjoy your new boat!
-
New Boat QuestionsHey @stiggy , multiple boats are supported in the data model but the UI is not supporting it. That being said, as long as you donโt use multiple boats at the same time you can use the same collector ID with a new boat name. Saillogger will distinguish it as a new boat.

Wrong temperatures showingHi Hanne,
It is certainly possible, you can configure the sources for all your monitoring inputs in Saillogger plugin.
Sounds like you are on a Victron, just go to this page from your local network (or find your Signal K plugin configuration page) to make the changes. You will see option to specify the keys for:
Monitoring data source for water temperature
Monitoring data source for outside temperature
- ...
Keys will for Ruuvi tags usually look like this:
environment.venus.24.temperature
but the numbers vary. You can go to Data Browser in Signal K and search for the keys you want to use.Good luck and let us know if you need more help!
-
Depth transducer offset?Hi, yes, this is configurable from the Signal K plugin. Go to plugin configuration, and change the value under
Monitoring data source for depth
.Sounds like you want to use
environment.depth.belowSurface
, make sure it is available in the Data Browser.Save the configuration and restart Signal K for the changes to take effect and all should be good!

Not getting password reset emailHi Michael, this is because your account was canceled. Fortunately, your data has not been deleted yet, there is grace period between account cancelation and full removal of data.
We have re-enabled your account. You have a couple of days after linking it your monitoring device to activate the subscription. Good luck and welcome back to Saillogger!
-
Some thoughts@andreshs1, additionally we also revamped the log details page with the new design and the entire site's color palette has been updated as well. Gradually all pages will be transitioned to the newer look and feel (that of monitoring page and now the log details page).

Access offlineHi Peterix, you can access the data locally until it gets uploaded to the cloud. But it will by definition be raw data, meaning it won't have been processed for trips, stays etc. And it will only be there until it gets uploaded. To save space and efficiency, local data is removed as soon as it is uploaded to the cloud.
In practice, not sure how much value you'd get from it. But regardless, you can find it in the
.signalk/plugin-config-data/signalk-saillogger/saillogger.sqlite3
file.
