windy integration - direction -
windy integration - directionI have left it all running , I checked and heading, wind speed all displayed on Saillogger dashboard.
-
windy integration - directionThank you. I will try and switch on tomorrow, and let you know when it's live..
Heading is on as it comes from precision 9 compass and is displayed on the boat dashboard . B&G calculates true wind value.

windy integration - directionI turned on Windy integration and have all sharing options currently on.
Windy shows wind strength + outside temperature but doesn't show direction.Wind strength and direction are correctly displayed on the vessel dashboard.
It's not permanently on, but if it helps I can switch on.

new look Motoring barThank you, yes it is EMU-1. Have now found the 12v supply, I think when I installed it to be able to configure all the sensors from the laptop I connected the supply on a permanent 12v supply. (To avoid the warning buzzer being live ) I hadn't fully appreciated the Saillogger logic for determining motoring / sailing so will now try and trace the output of the ignition switch and rewire.
-
new look Motoring barI think the EMU may take power from the nmea2000 network. So independent of the ignition switch, hence transmitting some data albeit 0 values.

New look journal entry missingDear Admin my apologies. The error was mine, in settings / dash board / show my cruise from / I had set my latest trip. Have now reset and all the journal entries are displayed.
Definitely user error ! -
new look Motoring barPower to the engine EMU is normally on, so yes engine hours would be transmitted but not increasing. I thought the software recorded the status as motoring when the RPM was greater than 0.
-
New look journal entry missingI am not sure this is the problem. I have 40 trips recorded. And all the journal entries were visible a few days ago. I had added comments and photos and all these were visible previosly .
The photos are all visible in the new look under photos.
But all the journal entries are missing. -
New look journal entry missingThe journal entries are missing in the new look. I can see all the entries in classic look.
clicking on journal in the new look msg - 'no journal entries yet'.
unable to post an entry - msg 'There is nowhere to attach a note yet. Once your boat reports a position or completes a trip, you can post here.' -

new look Motoring barPlease see attached screen shot of recent trip. Am I reading this correctly. The trip was a total of 2hrs 30 and the motoring was .7hrs . However the orange bar which I assume represents the trip and motoring appears to be the length of the whole trip ?

Saillogger’s New Look -> no info on current trackThe new look is excellent. Switched back a few times until I found where everything was, but now firmly on the new look.
The 'sensors' on the settings page is a better location (now I found it !) will post a comment about layout under feature requests.
Well done

Cerbo GX memory full issue - and fixi have ended up replacing the Cerbo with a Cerbo Mk2. i was getting quite a few odd problems with the Mk1 version, the bluetooth tank and environmemtal sensors kept disappearing and could no longer control the Multiplus state from the Cerbo ! also if i turned off intruments it seemed Signal K wouldn't see the data when i turned them back on. so now replaced with a Cerbo Mk2 and all the problems have gone, Signal K much faster, bluetooth funtioning correctly and can control Multiplus. i don't know what the difference is between Mk1 and Mk2 but it seems significantly better. i now want to add some Shelly devices.

migrating SignalK / Saillogger to Raspberry PI 4b.i am migrating SignalK from CerboGX to a RaspberryPI 4b with a Pican M hat. have been getting a few hickups on the Cerbo, so would prefer to separate SignalK from the battery management.
after installing Saillogger do i just copy across the old collector id from the Cerbo and then disable Saillogger on the Cerbo GX ? i will probably disable SignalK rather than install a new small image at this stage.

Cerbo GX memory full issue - and fix@mlee390 i recently had a similar problem with the Cerbo indicating the partition was full. what value did you change the hourly log files to ? do we actually need to hourly log files ?
i have also added a SD card , its not clear from some of the victron comments if the log files etc use the SD card. -
printing trip detailsIs there any way of printing the trip details. The screen shows the route and the left hand bar has a summary.
I can do a screen print, and paste into a document , but the summary bar which has some good info is more difficult to capture as it is bigger than the screen.
Any ideas welcome please

Best log book productI have trialed a lot of different log book products, all run on either Android or IOS. all needed to be started manually or they recorded the trip to the boat by car ! and only accepted NMEA 0183 data. Smart phone needed to be running the whole time, found most were not very reliable. Could not find one that provided a good log report showing trip details.
I am using a CERBO GX, YDEN Ethernet & Actisense EMU for engine data to NMEA 2000. not sure if i really need the YDEN now.

Status changeThank you, that's brilliant. i noticed it did record correctly engine hours but I wasn't seeing this reflected when playing back the trip. have now added a monitoring section to include RPM so hopefully this will show up.
so much great information, its brilliant.
